Remote Tech Support
Remote tech support for home and office computers
Fast diagnosis and secure support without waiting for a visit. Most everyday computer problems are solved in a single remote session you approve and can end at any time.
What remote computer support covers
If the machine turns on and reaches the internet, there is a good chance it can be fixed today without anyone travelling. Remote tech support is the fastest and least disruptive way to deal with software problems — there is no wait for a visit and no need to unplug anything and carry it in.
- Slow computers and general computer performance help
- Software errors, crashes, failed updates, and programs that will not open
- Email setup and email that has stopped sending or receiving
- Printer, scanner, and shared-device problems
- Malware, adware, and suspicious pop-up cleanup
- Windows updates, driver problems, and startup issues
- Backup setup and checking that backups are actually running
- New software installation, configuration, and account setup
- IT troubleshooting for one-off problems nobody in the office can pin down
How a remote session works
You are sent a one-time connection link. Opening it and approving the request is what gives access — nothing connects on its own. You see the screen the whole time and can watch every step, and the session ends when the work is finished. Nothing stays running in the background afterwards.
If we find something that cannot be fixed remotely — a failing drive, a dead power supply, a cable problem — you will be told during the session, not after the invoice. That work moves to an on-site repair visit.
When remote support is the wrong tool
Remote support needs something to connect to. If the computer will not power on, cannot reach the network, or the problem is physical — a broken screen, a failed drive, a new workstation that has not been set up yet — an on-site visit is the honest answer. If work has already stopped across an office, emergency on-site service is the faster path.
Who this is for
Home users who want a problem gone without packing up a computer; small offices that need quick IT troubleshooting during the working day; and businesses that already use JerrySoft for ongoing IT support and want the first response to start immediately.
Questions
Frequently asked
How quickly can a remote session start?
Most remote requests are answered the same working day, and simple issues are often resolved in the first session. Send a short description of the problem and you will get a time window back rather than an open-ended wait.
Is remote access safe?
Access is permission-based and one-time. You approve each connection, you watch the whole session on your own screen, and access ends when the session does. No standing access is left behind unless you specifically ask for managed monitoring.
What if the problem turns out to need an on-site visit?
You will be told during the session, along with what needs to be replaced or checked in person. Remote diagnosis usually shortens the on-site visit because the cause is already known before anyone arrives.
Do you support both Windows PCs and servers remotely?
Yes. Day-to-day workstation problems are handled as remote tech support; ongoing server work such as patching, monitoring, and backup verification falls under remote server management.
